First half

Philadelphia took a 34-25 lead when Tyrese Maxey hit a 47-foot buzzer-beater to end the first quarter. Milwaukee answered with a 9-0 run, tied it at 34, and went ahead 40-37 on a Ryan Rollins three. The Bucks led 56-54 late in the second, then a 10-0 Philadelphia burst gave the Sixers a 64-60 edge by halftime, with Myles Turner's turnovers in the middle of it.

Third quarter

The game stood at 82 apiece eight minutes into the second half. Then Turner picked up his fourth foul and Nate Ament sat with foul trouble of his own. Philadelphia won the quarter 33-27 and led 97-87 going to the fourth. Turner finished with no points on 0-for-3 shooting, and his minus-16 was the worst on the team.

The fourth-quarter break

An 8-0 run pushed the Sixers to 105-89, and Taylor Jenkins burned a timeout down 13. Milwaukee fought back to 114-117 with two minutes left, helped by a Kel'el Ware and-one. Then Philadelphia ran off another 8-0 and made it 125-114 with under a minute to play. Joel Embiid's dunk with 47 seconds left ended it.

Grades

Ware earns a B-plus: 19 points, 13 rebounds, two blocks and a plus-4, though he drew three turnovers. Jaime Jaquez Jr. gets a B for 21 points on 7-of-13 shooting, offset by a minus-15 and, per the Journal Sentinel's Jim Owczarski, trouble with the ball in the open court. Tyler Herro, 6-of-14 for 13 points with three turnovers, gets a C. AJ Green was the quiet bright spot: 11 points, plus-5, in 19 minutes.

Next Milwaukee hosts the Pacers on Monday, October 26, with the Rockets visiting on October 28.
