Suns Enter 2026-27 Training Camp at 0-0 With Booker Leading and Two Players Day-to-Day

Where the Suns Stand
The season hasn't tipped off yet, so Phoenix sits at 0-0 with no seed and no streak to report. Right now the story is the roster, the injury report and the schedule ahead, not results on the floor. The Suns open the 2026-27 regular season on the road, 2026-10-21 at Portland, with 80 games on the schedule and 14 of them on national TV. Two players are on the injury report heading into camp. CJ Huntley is day-to-day with a hamstring/leg issue, with an estimated return of 2026-10-01. Mark Williams is also day-to-day, dealing with a left foot/leg problem, and he too has an estimated return of 2026-10-01. Williams was a full-time starter at center last season, averaging 11.7 points and 8.0 rebounds in 60 games, so getting him back on schedule matters for the frontcourt rotation. Huntley is a first-year forward on the roster.
