Before you write
Most questions have an answer already on the site. Numbers that look wrong are usually explained on the methods page, which says where every figure comes from and how win probability, the power rankings, player grades and The Margin are computed. A score or a box score that disagrees with the official one comes from the league feed and corrects itself within minutes of the final; an injury status follows the team's own report and the date it carries. Salary figures are our own ledger built from public contract sources, not an official league release: the cap sheet says what is included and what is estimated.
If a page is missing, it is usually by design. A player has a page when he is on a roster or has a season of games behind him; a team section carries only the pages that have data behind them. We do not publish pages that exist to hold three numbers and a headline.

Rights and publisher
Charts, tables and text on this site can be quoted with a link back to the page they come from. The photographs come from Wikimedia Commons with the credit printed under each one, and their own licence travels with them. Video is embedded from the official channels and belongs to whoever published it; we do not re-upload, re-cut or host it. Copyright notices go to [email protected] with the address of the page and the material concerned, and are answered the same week.
