NBA starting lineups

The expected starting five for both teams in every game on Saturday, October 3, the next day with games, with who is out and who is in doubt. Until a team has played in 2026-27, its five are the most-used players of 2025-26 who are on the roster now and not ruled out; the first box score replaces the projection. Teams confirm their starters about 30 minutes before tip-off.

How these lineups are built

Every five on this page comes from two sources and nothing else: the official box scores and the injury report. During the season a team's expected starters are the five players who have started the largest share of its games, ordered by starts and then by minutes. A player listed as out, out for the season or suspended is removed and the next man by minutes moves up. Players listed as questionable, doubtful or day-to-day stay in the five and are flagged underneath, because most of them play.

Before a team has played its first game of 2026-27 there are no starts to count, so the five are the most-used players of 2025-26 who are on the roster today. That is a projection and the page says so; it does not know about a rookie who won a job in camp or a veteran moving to the bench. The first box score replaces it automatically.

The injury report is read every 15 minutes, so a late scratch moves a name here within a quarter of an hour. Official starters are announced by the teams roughly half an hour before tip-off; for the bench order, minutes and the reason behind each name, open the team's own lineup page. The league injury report has every listed player, and how to watch has the channels for the same slate.
