Every team, every night

Hoops Nightly is an independent fan platform covering all 30 NBA teams. Each team has its own section — Lakers Nightly, Knicks Nightly, Celtics Nightly and so on — built on the same idea: what happened, how reliable it is, and what it means for your team.

How it works

Data comes first. Scores, box scores, standings, injury reports, rosters, lineups and broadcast listings are pulled from official and public sources every few minutes and stored in our own database; every page on the site is rendered from that database, never from a rumor or a memory. Every number you see carries a timestamp. If a source stops updating, the page tells you how old the data is instead of pretending.

Writing comes second. Game recaps, injury updates, team briefings and daily shows are produced by the Hoops Nightly newsroom using AI writing and voice tools, working strictly from the data described above, and reviewed by human editors. We say so on every author page. Our editorial policy explains the source tiers, the reliability badges (Official, Reliable, Rumor, Analysis) and the checks a piece has to pass before it is published.

Photos and video

We do not use broadcast footage or agency photographs without a license. Photographs on the site come from Wikimedia Commons under Creative Commons licenses, with the photographer credited on the image, or from official social posts embedded with their platform's player. Game video appears only as embeds of the official NBA and team channels.
