The October 16 win over Portland was his best line of the month: 7 points, 8 rebounds, 10 assists in 24.3 minutes with a +18.0. Against Sacramento on October 10 he had 3 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in 23.1 minutes, again +18.0. He did not play in the October 7 loss to Portland, which lines up with the rest designation that day. On October 6 against the Lakers he had 3 points, 2 rebounds and 8 assists in 14.9 minutes and the Warriors were +25.0 in that stretch. The October 4 loss to the Clippers was the one rough night: 2 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists in 13.9 minutes at -6.0. The minutes are in the mid-20s at most, and the assist totals are carrying the box score.

Last season Green played 68 games for Golden State and averaged 27.5 minutes. He put up 8.4 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game, with 0.9 steals and 0.6 blocks. He turned it over 2.7 times a night. The shooting was below average: 41.8 percent from the field, 32.6 percent from three and 70.2 percent from the line, good for a 54.0 true shooting percentage. He followed that with 7 points, 6 rebounds and 12 assists in 34.0 minutes in the April 5 loss to Houston. Those were heavy minutes for a loss. The Warriors beat Sacramento on April 7 with Green at 1 point, 6 rebounds and 7 assists in 27.1 minutes. They then dropped the last two to the Lakers and Kings, with Green at 2 points and 7 points respectively, both at negative plus-minus. The minutes this October are about 10 fewer than that April stretch, which fits the rest days on the injury log.

None of these are reports of a deal. They are division notes that mention Green among other names, and nothing in them changes his status.
