Every game of the day is on the live board: the tip-off time and the TV channel before the game; while it is on, the score, the clock, the win probability and the river of the game (the lead over time, home team above the line, visitors below), refreshed on its own every thirty seconds; and the final with the box score, the quarter-by-quarter scoring and a written recap once it ends. The closest game sits on top, and a close finish lights up in amber. Open a game for the lines of every player, the officials, the Last Two Minute report when the league publishes one, and the two teams' pages. Use the arrows to move a day back or forward; the season calendar is on the key dates page, and each team keeps its own results on its schedule page.

Where the numbers come from

Scores, clock and box scores come from the league's own live feed, the same one the arenas publish, and are written to our database every fifteen seconds while a game is on; nothing on this page is typed by hand. A line can move after the final buzzer, when the official scorer corrects a rebound or an assist: the page follows the correction. Win probability is computed from the score, the time left and the possession, with the method written out on the methods page — it is never shown as 100% while the ball is still in the air.

After the final

Within a few minutes of the buzzer each game gets its recap and player grades, and the night's changes land on the pages that care about them: the standings and the playoff picture, the injury report for anyone who left early, the league leaders, and the morning briefing that puts the whole night in one page. What is on television tomorrow is on how to watch, with the national windows first.
