Jaylen Brown went from not listed to day-to-day Thursday with a knee issue, the biggest change since the comeback at Indiana. Philadelphia, 4-1 and second in the East, hosts the 2-3 Knicks tonight on Prime Video, then visits Charlotte on Saturday.

Is Jaylen Brown playing against the Knicks?

He is projected back today, and Liberty Ballers reported he is questionable while LeBron James and Joel Embiid are not listed. Brown had 20 points and 10 rebounds at Indiana, along with five turnovers in 34 minutes. He is second on the team at 20.6 points a game and the only regular shooting better than 40 percent from deep. Losing him tonight would cost more than one name in the box score.

Should Nurse play Embiid on both nights?

No. Embiid logged 39 minutes in Indiana, a day after a right heel issue was cleared on October 27. The Sixer Sense's Justin Grasso argued the team is pushing its luck with him this early. The backup bigs give Nurse no cushion: Ariel Hukporti's Achilles keeps him out until next October, and Tacko Fall's quadriceps keeps him out until at least November 4. If Embiid sits once, Charlotte is the night.

Can Philly handle Karl-Anthony Towns again?

Towns averages 21.8 points and 13.8 rebounds, and Jalen Brunson averages 25.8 points. Philly has already beaten New York twice, 120-97 on October 5 and 106-100 on October 20. The Knicks have won two straight, but they have played four games in seven days and Jose Alvarado is out with an ankle injury. Philadelphia comes in on two days of rest.

How does a team score 13 in a quarter and win?

By scoring 39 in the next one. Indiana opened the third on a 17-0 run, turning a 62-52 Philly lead into a 69-62 deficit, and won the quarter 36-13. Tyrese Maxey then scored 17 of his 27 in the fourth, and Anfernee Simons went 6-of-10 from deep off the bench for a team-best +14. Getting outscored by 23 in one quarter is not a repeatable plan.

The verdictA 4-1 start with two wins over New York is real, but a 13-point quarter and a frontcourt with no healthy backup center say the margin is thinner than the record. Brown's knee decides tonight, and Embiid's minutes decide Saturday.
What channel is 76ers vs Knicks on tonight?

The October 30 game is on Prime Video and counts as an Emirates NBA Cup game. Philadelphia then plays at Charlotte on October 31 on NBA TV.

When is Jabari Walker coming back for the Sixers?

Walker is out with a left knee injury and is projected to return October 31 at Charlotte. Dominick Barlow is out with a back injury and is projected back November 4.
