The reports that have held up are the injury ones: Banchero, Suggs and Penda all have projected return dates now. The October mentions of Anthony Black come with no deal attached, and a $218.1M payroll above the first apron argues against any quick move.

The Banchero reports got the length of the absence right.
An Oct. 24 report said Paolo Banchero could miss several weeks with a high ankle sprain, with a confidence of 37. A day later another report said he expected to miss at least a month, with a confidence of 39. His right ankle now projects to Nov. 22, which matches both. Treat the direction as settled. The only open question is whether that date holds.
Suggs and Penda now have dates, and the rotation has to bridge to them.
The Oct. 26 report that Jalen Suggs left the Knicks game, scored at 39, turned into an official absence. His right knee projects to Nov. 10, the same target as Jonathan Isaac's left knee. Noah Penda's partial hamstring tear, reported Oct. 17 with a warning of significant time and scored at 29, now points to Nov. 18. The low scores reflect thin sourcing, not real doubt, because the official injury list backs every one of these reports. Meanwhile Jase Richardson has used his chance: he was +26 in 33 minutes on Friday.
The Anthony Black mentions are the noise.
Black appears in Brian Windhorst's Oct. 16 roundup, the highest-scored item at 57, and in Stein's Oct. 19 notes at 31. Neither comes with a partner, a price or a move. On the court, Black makes the case for patience. Against Toronto he had 17 points and 10 assists on 5-of-8 shooting, including 3-of-4 from deep. A 22-year-old in his third season producing like that is a player you develop, not one you shop.
The cap sheet points toward standing pat.
Orlando's payroll of $218.1M is above the first apron and past the $200.4M tax line. Franz Wagner ($41.8M), Banchero ($41.5M), Desmond Bane ($39.4M) and Suggs ($32.4M) make up most of it. Draft capital is thin too: the 2028 first goes to Portland, the 2030 first goes to Memphis and the 2029 first is protected. The only confirmed roster moves this fall were waiving Malaki Branham, JD Davison and Kevin Knox on Oct. 17, plus the options on Tristan da Silva and Richardson that Jason Beede reported on Oct. 21. Until Nov. 22, the plan is internal growth, not a trade.
Are the Magic trading Anthony Black?
No trade has been reported. Windhorst and Stein mentioned him in October roundups with no deal attached, and Orlando's payroll above the first apron makes adding salary difficult.
When will Paolo Banchero return from his ankle injury?
His right ankle has a projected return of Nov. 22. That fits the October reports that he would miss several weeks to a month.
