Coby White left Wednesday's game against the Nets and is listed day-to-day with an undisclosed issue. Charlotte, 3-5 and on a four-game losing streak, is already without Kon Knueppel and Grant Williams.
What happened
Coby White exited Wednesday's game against the Nets, Owen O'Connor of SI.com reports. The injury report updated at 8:58 PM ET and lists him as day-to-day. The detail is undisclosed, category other. White had been cleared from day-to-day earlier Wednesday, so he had no listing when the game began. Before that, he was listed day-to-day on Tuesday with a left calf issue. He was cleared from out on Sunday. The report gives November 4 as his expected return, the night he left the game, so no new return date has been announced. The nature of the new issue has not been announced either.
What it means for the Hornets
The Hornets are 3-5, ninth in the standings, and have lost four straight. The schedule shows the Nets game as the last one on the board, so White's availability for the next game has not been announced. He has played one game in 2026-27, averaging 15.9 minutes, 7.0 points, 0.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists. Charlotte is 0-1 with him and 3-4 without him. In games without him, Brandon Miller has averaged 33.7 minutes and 23.5 points. Dennis Schroder has played 31.2 minutes and Grayson Allen 26.3. Knueppel (left hamstring) and Williams (right hamstring) are both out, which leaves the guard rotation thin.
What to watch
The next injury report should show whether White stays day-to-day or moves to questionable, doubtful or out. No return date has been announced, and the issue remains undisclosed. Watch the minutes for Schroder and Allen if he sits, along with Miller's workload. Knueppel and Williams are both listed out, and no timeline for either has been announced. Charlotte is trying to end a four-game losing streak, and its depth at guard depends on how this report develops.
Is Coby White playing the Hornets' next game?
Not announced. White is listed day-to-day after leaving Wednesday's game against the Nets with an undisclosed issue. His status for the next game has not been set.
When will Coby White be back?
No return date has been announced. The injury report lists him as day-to-day, and the issue is undisclosed. The expected return in the report is November 4, the night he left the game.
