Who's missing tonight in Milwaukee?

Tyson, for sure. His right ankle has him listed out, and November 2 against the Thunder is the projected date he comes back. That's a real hole: through five games he was giving Cleveland 20.7 minutes and 7.8 points. Meleek Thomas is the better news. He came off the out list, and tonight is his estimated return. In his two games he has averaged 13.0 points in 19.8 minutes.

How did Cleveland let Atlanta come back?

Cleveland led by 15 early, then lost the second quarter 30-16, a stretch that included a 13-0 Hawks run. Atlanta went into the fourth up 89-82. Onyeka Okongwu did the damage with 29 points and 12 rebounds, and his putback with 28 seconds left made it 112-109. Donovan Mitchell answered with a layup, then missed two pull-up threes in the last eight seconds. He went 1-for-9 from deep.

Is Milwaukee a get-right game?

On paper, yes. The Bucks are 1-4 under Taylor Jenkins. Neither team had a rest day coming in, and Milwaukee has played four games in seven days to Cleveland's three. After tonight it gets hard: the Thunder at home November 2 and in Oklahoma City November 4, the 76ers November 6 in an Emirates NBA Cup game, then the Knicks November 7. Lose this one and the 3-2 start starts to look shaky.

Does the payroll leave room to fix any of this?

Not much. Cleveland is at $209.0 million, above the $200.4 million tax threshold, with Mitchell and Evan Mobley at $50.1 million each. King James Gospel argued this week that the roster has almost no room to correct mistakes. The draft picks tell the same story: the 2027, 2028 and 2029 firsts are all swaps. Whatever fixes this team has to come from the 17 players already here.

The verdictA 1-4 Milwaukee team is a game Cleveland has to win before the Thunder come in. The open question is who closes: the group that started the final five minutes in Atlanta was Harden, Allen, Hezonja, Watson and Proctor, with neither Mitchell nor Mobley in it.
When will Jaylon Tyson return for the Cavaliers?

Tyson is listed out because of his right ankle. His projected return date is November 2, at home against the Thunder.

Who won Cavaliers vs. Hawks on October 29?

The Hawks won 114-111 in Atlanta. Onyeka Okongwu led them with 29 points and 12 rebounds, and James Harden led Cleveland with 24.
