Minnesota played in Orlando on one day of rest and never trailed, winning 115-93 against a Magic team that had Anthony Black and three others out. Ayo Dosunmu led the team with 14 points, seven rebounds and nine assists, and four separate scoring runs handled the rest.

No Lead to Protect
There were no lead changes and only two ties, and Orlando never held a lead. After an early 5-5, Minnesota scored nine straight points. Sean Sweeney called timeout at 11-5, and it did little to slow the Wolves. A second burst, 8-0 late in the first quarter, made it 24-13, and the visitors led 26-20 after one. A 10-0 run early in the second pushed the score from 28-22 to 38-22 and forced another Orlando timeout. Minnesota led 57-45 at halftime. The defense was steady more than spectacular, and on this night that was enough.
The Third-Quarter Squeeze
Orlando got within 12 at 69-57 with 5:19 left in the third. Over the next three minutes Minnesota scored 12 unanswered points to make it 81-57, and the Magic burned a timeout down 76-57 in the middle of that run. It was 86-60 after three, and the lead reached 26. Wendell Carter Jr. scored 15 of his 20 points in the fourth, but by then the margin was settled: it was still 104-83 with 4:23 to play. Terrence Shannon Jr. scored seven in the final period, Rudy Gobert six and Trey Lyles four. A reserve group of Bones Hyland, Cody Williams, Isaiah Evans, Jaylen Clark and Shannon finished the game.
Grades and the Road Ahead
Dosunmu gets an A: he finished one assist short of a triple-double and organized every stretch that mattered. Jonathan Kuminga earns a B-plus for seven points on 2-of-3 shooting from deep and a plus-7 in his first eight minutes. Two nights after scoring 45 in Miami, Anthony Edwards gets a C for opening 1-of-8 from the field. LaMelo Ball's early stint shows how far plus-minus can drift from the box score: he missed both of his shots and was plus-14 in seven minutes, the best mark of that stretch. Dosunmu was the only Wolf in the red, at minus-1 in his first five minutes. Minnesota sits seventh in the West, level with sixth-place Memphis. A three-game road trip ends here, and the Raptors visit on October 25 before a trip to Cleveland the next night.
