Kings center Dylan Cardwell stays out with a calf injury, with no change in status on the Nov. 3 injury report. Sacramento is 1-6 and has gone without him all season as it faces the Lakers on Wednesday night.
What happened
Kings center Dylan Cardwell remains out with a calf injury, according to the official injury report posted Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 7:43 p.m. ET. His status did not change. He was listed as out before the update, too. The report gave no further detail on the injury. Its comment read: "Cardwell (calf) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Mavericks." Cardwell, 24, has been on the report since Oct. 10, when he was day-to-day with rest. He moved to day-to-day with a calf issue on Oct. 12, then to out with a left calf injury on Oct. 13. No return date has been announced.
What it means for the Kings
Sacramento hosts the Lakers on Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 10 p.m. ET. The Kings are 1-6, the 14th seed, with a one-game winning streak. They have no games with Cardwell in the lineup this season and are 1-6 without him. No season line is available for him. The rotation has leaned on Darius Acuff Jr. (36.5 minutes, 26.1 points), Domantas Sabonis (36.1 minutes, 15.0 points) and Zach LaVine (33.2 minutes, 23.4 points). De'Andre Hunter plays 30.2 minutes and Precious Achiuwa 28.6. Achiuwa is day-to-day with an ankle issue. Keegan Murray, Ben Simmons and Maxime Raynaud are also out.
What to watch
The next injury report will show whether Cardwell's status changes. Until then, he is out and no return date has been announced. Watch the minutes for Acuff, Sabonis and LaVine against the Lakers. Also watch Achiuwa's ankle, because he is the one rotation player listed day-to-day. Sacramento is looking for a second straight win after its 1-6 start.
