Cameron Johnson was cleared on the injury report at 8:36 PM ET Wednesday, moving off day-to-day. The Nuggets forward is no longer listed for the 9:00 PM ET game against the Raptors.
What happened
Cameron Johnson was cleared on the official injury report at 8:36 PM ET on Wednesday, Nov. 4. His previous status was day-to-day. The report gave no injury detail and no comment. Earlier Wednesday he carried a day-to-day listing for a lower body issue. On Tuesday, Nov. 3, he was day-to-day with an ankle and leg issue. Before that, he was cleared on Friday, Oct. 30, after being listed out with an ankle and leg injury on Oct. 28. The report does not give an expected return, because none applies to a cleared player.
What it means for the Nuggets
Johnson is available for Wednesday's game against the Raptors at 9:00 PM ET. Denver is 3-3, sits 10th and lost its last game. The Nuggets are 1-2 with Johnson and 2-1 without him. Through three games he averages 8.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 26.2 minutes. When he has been out, the minutes have gone to Christian Braun (36.3), Aaron Gordon (30.3), Trevon Brazile (21.9), Bryce Hopkins (16.5) and Alpha Diallo (13.9). DeMar DeRozan is out with a back and torso issue. Julian Strawther and Spencer Jones are also out.
What to watch
The next injury report will show whether Johnson stays clear after the Raptors game. His status has changed several times since Oct. 25, moving between day-to-day, out and cleared, so any new listing matters. Watch his minutes against Toronto, since he is coming off a lower body listing. Denver also has three players out for now: DeRozan, Strawther and Jones. No return dates have been announced for them.
