Denver guard Alpha Diallo was cleared on Wednesday night's injury report after he was listed Day-To-Day. He is not carrying a designation for Saturday's game at Indiana.
What happened
Alpha Diallo was moved to Cleared on the injury report at 8:36 PM ET on Wednesday, Nov. 4. His previous status was Day-To-Day. The report gave no detail and no comment with the update, and no return date was announced. The wrist issue on his right arm had put him on the report again on Tuesday, Nov. 3 as Day-To-Day. He was cleared from Out on Monday, Nov. 2, after being listed Out with the same wrist issue on Sunday, Nov. 1. On Oct. 27 he was also listed Out for personal reasons, and he went from Out to Day-To-Day with the wrist that day.
What it means for the Nuggets
Denver (4-3, ninth seed, winners of one straight) plays at the Pacers on Saturday, Nov. 7 at 5:00 PM ET on NBA TV. Diallo, a 29-year-old guard, has played two games this season. He averages 13.9 minutes, 2.0 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.0 assists. The Nuggets are 1-2 with him and 3-1 without him. In the games without him, Christian Braun averaged 35.1 minutes, Aaron Gordon 29.5, Cameron Johnson 27.1, Trevon Brazile 22.1 and Bryce Hopkins 18.7. DeMar DeRozan, who averaged 25.1 minutes in those games, is listed Out with a back issue.
What to watch
The next injury report ahead of Saturday's game at Indiana will show whether Diallo stays clear of any designation. Denver has not announced his role or minutes for that game. Julian Strawther (left knee), Spencer Jones (hamstring) and DeRozan (back) are all listed Out. After the Pacers, the Nuggets will be looking to extend their one-game winning streak and move up from ninth in the standings.
