Luka Doncic was cleared on the injury report Thursday night, a day after he was listed out with a back issue. That puts the Lakers' leading scorer back in line for Friday's game at Golden State.

What happened

Doncic moved to cleared on the official injury report at 8:17 PM ET on Thursday, Oct 29. His previous status was day-to-day. The change came quickly. He was listed out on Wednesday, Oct 28, with a back issue, then moved from out to day-to-day on Thursday before being cleared that night. The report gave no further detail and no comment. It was his second appearance on the report this fall. On Friday, Oct 16, he was listed day-to-day for rest and cleared the same day.

What it means for the Lakers

The Lakers play at the Warriors on Friday, Oct 30, at 10:00 PM ET on Prime Video. They are 4-1, fourth in the seeding, and won their last game. Doncic has carried the offense. Through four games he is averaging 36.0 points, 6.8 rebounds and 8.3 assists in 35.5 minutes. The Lakers are 3-1 with him and 1-0 without him. In the game he missed, Austin Reaves played 35.2 minutes and Walker Kessler played 30.4. Ziaire Williams, Quentin Grimes, Matisse Thybulle and Sandro Mamukelashvili all played more than 24 minutes. Williams is now day-to-day with a foot issue.

What to watch

The next injury report before Friday's tip will confirm the Lakers' list. No minutes plan for Doncic has been announced. Watch Williams, who is day-to-day with a foot issue. Cameron Carr is out with a right oblique issue and Adou Thiero is out with a left knee issue. No return date has been announced for either. With Doncic back, Reaves, Grimes and Mamukelashvili should go back to the roles they had before Wednesday.

Is Luka Doncic playing at the Warriors on Friday?
