Alex Sarr is cleared and no longer listed day-to-day after missing time with a left knee issue. The Wizards center is set to be available when they host the Hawks at 7:00 PM ET on Wednesday.

What happened

The Wizards center was cleared on the injury report at 6:19 PM ET on Wednesday, Nov. 4. He had been listed as day-to-day. The report gives no detail and no comment with the update. The knee issue, listed as Knee, Leg, Left, began on Sunday, Nov. 1, when he was first listed day-to-day. He was moved to out on Monday, Nov. 2, then back to day-to-day on Tuesday, Nov. 3. Before that, he had been cleared on Oct. 10 after a right foot issue that was first listed on Sept. 6. No return date applies now because he is cleared.

What it means for the Wizards

Washington hosts the Hawks at 7:00 PM ET on Wednesday. The Wizards are 4-3, hold the fourth seed and have won two straight. Sarr, 21, is averaging 9.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 25.4 minutes over six games this season. Washington is 3-3 with him and 1-0 without him. When he sat, Trae Young played 36.1 minutes and Anthony Davis 33.5. Kyshawn George played 32.3 and AJ Dybantsa 30.0. Bilal Coulibaly added 27.3 minutes, Tre Johnson 20.9, Bub Carrington 19.6 and Justin Champagnie 18.3. With Sarr back, those minutes should shift.

What to watch

The next injury report will show whether Sarr stays clear after the Hawks game. Washington is still thin elsewhere. Coulibaly is day-to-day. Reece Beekman, Tristan Vukcevic, Justin Champagnie and Jamir Watkins are all out. Champagnie was in the rotation in Sarr's absence, so his status matters for the frontcourt minutes. Watch how many minutes Sarr plays in his first game back after the short absence, and whether he returns to his usual 25-minute role.

Is Alex Sarr playing vs the Hawks?
