LaMelo Ball was cleared on the Timberwolves' injury report Monday night after being listed day-to-day with a wrist issue. He is off the report ahead of Wednesday's game at Houston.
What happened
The Timberwolves removed LaMelo Ball from their injury report at 7:41 PM ET on Monday, Nov. 2. His status changed from Day-To-Day to Cleared. The report gave no detail and no comment with the change. Earlier Monday, Ball was listed day-to-day with a wrist and arm issue, first on the left side and then on the right. He was also listed as day-to-day for rest on Oct. 10 and Oct. 16, and was cleared both times. No return date applies now, since the report no longer lists him with a status.
What it means for the Timberwolves
Minnesota plays at the Rockets on Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 8:30 PM ET. The Timberwolves are 4-3, in 10th place in the standings, and have lost their last game. Ball, a 25-year-old guard, is averaging 14.4 points, 3.3 rebounds and 6.3 assists in 25.2 minutes over seven games. He has not missed a game yet. The report still lists Anthony Edwards and Donte DiVincenzo as out. With Edwards sidelined, Jaden McDaniels, Jonathan Kuminga, Ayo Dosunmu and Terrence Shannon Jr. carry much of the rotation. Dosunmu averages 26.9 minutes and Shannon 22.0.
