Anthony Black was cleared on Wednesday's injury report at 6:17 PM ET, after being listed day-to-day earlier in the day for a personal matter. He is available for the Magic at Toronto at 7:30 PM ET, with Paolo Banchero and Jalen Suggs both out.

What happened

Black's status changed from day-to-day to cleared on the injury report at 6:17 PM ET on Wednesday, Oct. 28. Earlier Wednesday he had been listed day-to-day for a personal reason. The report gave no further detail and no comment. It was his second clearance in four days. He was listed out with a right ankle issue on Oct. 20 and again on Oct. 22. In between, and on Oct. 23, he was day-to-day. He was cleared from that ankle listing on Sunday, Oct. 25.

What it means for the Magic

Orlando plays at Toronto at 7:30 PM ET on Wednesday. The Magic are 1-2, 10th in the conference, and won their last game. They are 1-0 with Black and 0-2 without him. In his one game he played 26.0 minutes and had 18.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists. He returns to a short roster. Paolo Banchero, Jalen Suggs, Noah Penda, Jonathan Isaac and Izaiyah Nelson are all listed out. In the two games without Black, Banchero averaged 33.8 minutes and Suggs averaged 33.4. That leaves Franz Wagner, Desmond Bane, Wendell Carter Jr., Tristan da Silva, Jase Richardson and Jevon Carter to carry the load with him.

What to watch

The first thing to watch is whether Black starts and how many minutes he plays in Toronto, with Banchero and Suggs out. He has two separate entries on the report this month, the right ankle and Wednesday's personal matter. Any new listing would come on the next injury report. Its timing has not been announced. Beyond Wednesday's game in Toronto, the next stretch of the schedule has not been announced either.

Is Anthony Black playing at the Raptors on Wednesday?
