Harden's cold spell: 15% from three over five games
A career three-point shooter has gone ice cold from deep, and the Cavaliers need him to find his shot again.
James Harden is shooting 15% from three over his last five games. That mark comes from 5 makes on 34 attempts, well below his 37.5% clip for the 2025-26 season. The most recent game in that stretch was played on May 25, 2026.
A gap this wide between a five-game stretch and a full-season number points to a shooter missing looks he normally makes, not a change in shot selection. Thirty-four attempts is a real sample for five games, so this is not a case of a couple of unlucky misses skewing the picture.
For the cold spell to end, Harden needs makes to start falling at closer to his season rate on similar volume. If the attempts stay near seven a game and the makes stay in the single digits, the gap will keep widening and the Cavaliers will keep getting less value from his three-point shot than his season number promises. If the makes climb back toward his season percentage over the next several games, the stretch will read as a slump rather than a decline.
The next few games will show which one it is.
