Brandon Ingram remains day-to-day on the Clippers' Monday injury report, now with the issue listed as his Achilles rather than the heel problem noted two weeks earlier, and the report attaches an expected return date of Nov. 1. That leaves his availability for the season's opening stretch unresolved as the Clippers await the regular-season start.
What happened
The Clippers' Monday, Sept. 28 injury report lists Brandon Ingram as day-to-day with an Achilles and leg issue. He carried the same day-to-day designation on the Sept. 14 report, when the issue was listed as a heel and leg problem on his right side. The Monday report also attaches an expected return date of Nov. 1. ESPN's Brian Windhorst reported Tuesday that Ingram had surgery on his foot and heel during the offseason.
What it means for the Clippers
The Clippers face the Warriors on Sunday, Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. ET, with the 2026-27 season not yet underway and the team at 0-0. Last season Ingram averaged 21.5 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 33.8 minutes across 77 games. Without him on the floor, the Clippers have leaned on James Harden (35.4 minutes, 25.4 points) and Kawhi Leonard (32.1 minutes, 27.9 points), with Ivica Zubac, Bennedict Mathurin, Kris Dunn, John Collins and Derrick Jones Jr. also seeing extended minutes. There is no record with or without him yet, since the regular season has not started.
What to watch
The next injury report will show whether Ingram's status changes before the Oct. 4 game against the Warriors. His expected return is listed as Nov. 1. Elsewhere on the Clippers' report, Jordan Miller is out with a shoulder and arm issue, and Bradley Beal is day-to-day with a hip and torso issue on his left side.
