Tshiebwe's +10 Minutes a Night for the Jazz
A teammate's injury has handed Oscar Tshiebwe more minutes, and the Jazz center is using them.
Oscar Tshiebwe is averaging 10 more minutes a night over his last three games with the Utah Jazz, with a teammate out of the lineup. That jump comes on top of a season where he has played 16.6 minutes a game across 27 appearances, scoring 7.8 points a game in 2025-26.
Over those same three games, through his last outing on April 12, 2026, Tshiebwe has scored 19 points while averaging 27.1 minutes a night. That is close to double his season-long floor time, and it has held for three straight games, not just one.
For this to keep going, the teammate ahead of him needs to stay out of the lineup. The Jazz have not had to choose between Tshiebwe and that player over this stretch, so the extra minutes have not been tested against full health at his position.
If the teammate returns, the minutes are likely to slide back toward the season average of 16.6. Until then, every game near 27 minutes is another sign of how much the Jazz are willing to lean on Tshiebwe when given the chance.
