He still put up 17.0 points and 5.2 assists a game across 79 appearances and 32.3 minutes, numbers that describe someone Boston leans on to build offense, not just finish it. He also added 3.9 rebounds and 0.7 steals a night, with only 1.4 turnovers, control that matters given the ball-handling now expected of him.
His efficiency did not slip as his role grew.
He shot 46.4 percent overall and 37.7 percent on 7.1 three-point attempts a night, with an 89.0 percent free-throw mark and a 58.4 true shooting percentage. Boston's offense scored at a 120.1 rate with him on the floor against a 112.1 mark allowed, a net swing of 8.0.
His most productive five-man group is gone.
The Brown-White-Queta-Pritchard-Hauser lineup posted a net rating of +17.9 across 200 minutes last season, Pritchard's best sample by a wide margin. A similar group with Hugo Gonzalez over Hauser still ran to a +14.8 net rating in 67 minutes, and even the weaker version with Jordan Walsh in Hauser's spot finished plus at +2.3 over 192 minutes. Brown started all of them. He is now in Philadelphia, and every one of Pritchard's most-used lineups from last season needs a new answer at that spot.
His contract is set for two more seasons.
Pritchard is signed for $7.8 million this season and $8.3 million in 2027-28, modest money for the production above. He is not on the injury report entering camp, and at 28, in his sixth season, the question is whether he can replicate last season's efficiency while shouldering more of the offense his old lineup used to supply.
