Miami's rumor sheet carries nine items since mid-September, but only two have cleared the transaction log. The rest sit on confidence scores that top out at 41, and the payroll above the apron limits how many of them can turn into moves.

The Open Reports
hoopsrumors still carries five open items on Miami dated between September 15 and September 29, with confidence scores running from 25 to 41. The newest, filed September 27, assigns a 40 confidence to the Heat signing Dennis Smith Jr. Nothing on the transaction log backs it yet. A September 15 report naming Miami alongside the Magic and Raptors as suitors for John Konchar closed itself out: Konchar signed with the Knicks the next day.
What Already Cleared
Two reports that read as rumors have already played out. Anthony Chiang's September 22 report that the Heat claimed Bez Mbeng off waivers, confidence 39, matches a roster move logged four days later. Ian Schieffelin's Exhibit 10 signing, reported September 25 at a 37 confidence, cleared the transaction log on September 26. Both are camp-roster deals, not guaranteed contracts.
The Low-Confidence Pile
A September 29 bundle lumping the Hawks, Heat, Hornets and Pistons into one "Minor Roster Moves" item carries just a 41 score and no Heat-specific detail. Pelle Larsson's reported four-year extension, filed September 18 at a 29 confidence, still sits open on the sheet even as the roster treats it as settled business. No contract number has surfaced. Call it unconfirmed until one does.
The Books Don't Bend
Payroll sits at $210.5 million, above the $209.0 million first apron and the $200.4 million luxury tax line. Giannis Antetokounmpo's $58.5 million, Bam Adebayo's $49.8 million and Andrew Wiggins' $30.2 million player option already account for most of it. Any further move, confirmed or not, answers to that sheet before anything else. That math is the real check on every name still floating in the reports.
Is Dennis Smith Jr. actually signing with the Heat?
hoopsrumors reported it on September 27 with a 40 confidence score, and no transaction log entry has confirmed it yet.
Did the Heat really extend Pelle Larsson for four years?
A September 18 report put that extension at just a 29 confidence score, and no contract terms have been logged since.
