The Knicks cut N'Faly Dante, Toby Okani and John Konchar on Thursday, one day after adding Jaden Akins, Okani and Tony Bradley to the camp roster. Dante was cleared from his knee injury the same day he was let go, and Konchar's $2.1 million salary comes off the books as New York trims toward its regular-season number.

The Cuts
Three players are gone. Dante, Okani and Konchar all left the roster Thursday. Dante had been out with a knee injury since September 27; he got cleared and got cut the same day. Konchar's exit saves New York $2.1 million this season.
Revolving Door
Okani barely unpacked. He joined the Knicks Wednesday alongside Akins and Bradley, then was gone a day later. Akins signed a two-way deal; Bradley came in on an Exhibit 9 contract. Camp math is brutal this close to the cutoff.
Clock Ticking
New York plays four more exhibitions before anything counts: at Philadelphia on October 5, home against Washington on October 8, Minnesota on October 12, then at Toronto on October 13. The regular season opens October 20 against the 76ers.
Bottom Line
The roster New York settles on now is mostly the roster it keeps. Both Knicks first-round picks in 2027 and 2029 belong to Brooklyn, so there's no draft lifeline if a depth spot goes wrong. Every camp cut this week is a bet with no do-over.
Did the Knicks waive John Konchar?
Yes. New York waived Konchar on October 1, taking his $2.1 million salary off the books this season.
Is N'Faly Dante still on the Knicks?
No. Dante was cleared from his knee injury and cut from the roster the same day, October 1.
