Suns Notes Roll In on Bridges, Maluach, Ighodaro and Booker

New notes drop. Hoops Rumors ran fresh notes on Sept. 28 grouped around Bridges, Maluach, Ighodaro and Booker. The headline doesn't spell out details beyond those four names, but it lands right as camp opens, a sign of where attention is concentrated before any preseason tip-off.

Reath's rocky debut. Reath officially joined the Suns on Sept. 25, and Paul Garcia's Sept. 26 report described it as part of a broader set of roster moves. Hours after signing, Reath was also listed day-to-day with a right foot injury, before ever suiting up for Phoenix.

Williams still sidelined. Mark Williams has no timetable. He went from day-to-day to out on Sept. 11 with a left shoulder and arm issue, and a report that day said he'd had shoulder surgery. Nothing new has surfaced on his recovery since.

Chandler, Wheeler stick. Camp churn kept moving at the bottom of the roster. Amir Coffey and Isaiah Livers left Sept. 21; Corey Camper, Sam Hoiberg and John Camden cycled through and mostly left by Sept. 25. Chandler and Wheeler, brought in that week, are the two who stayed.

Booker's bench binges. Last season's closing stretch showed Booker doesn't need a starting nod to produce: over his final five games of 2025-26, he averaged 24.4 points a night and hit 20 in four of them, working plenty of that stretch off the bench.

Backups earn extra run. Last season, when a teammate sat, both Oso Ighodaro and Jalen Green saw real bumps: Ighodaro's minutes jumped 12 a night over a three-game stretch, Green's climbed 13. Small samples, but exactly the kind of depth question camp is meant to answer.

Payroll above the line. Phoenix's payroll sits at $216.2 million, above the $200.4 million tax line and further past the apron. Booker's $57.1 million anchors it, with Green at $36.3 million and Bridges at $22.8 million behind him.
