De'Andre Hunter is off Sacramento's injury report, cleared Friday after a day-to-day listing for a rest issue. He is available for the Kings' game at San Antonio on Friday, Oct. 16 at 8 p.m. ET.

What happened

De'Andre Hunter came off Sacramento's injury report Friday, Oct. 16 at 7:46 p.m. ET, cleared after being listed day-to-day since Tuesday, Oct. 13, when the Kings tagged him with a rest issue. No new detail or team comment accompanied the clearance. It is the second time this preseason Hunter has gone from day-to-day to cleared: he was sidelined day-to-day on Sept. 6 with a left eye and head issue, then cleared on Sept. 28, before Tuesday's rest-related day-to-day listing led to Friday's clearance.

What it means for the Kings

Hunter's clearance comes just before Sacramento's game at San Antonio on Friday, Oct. 16 at 8 p.m. ET. The Kings are 0-0 since the 2026-27 season has not started, so the matchup falls in the preseason slate. Last season Hunter played 45 games at 26.1 minutes, averaging 13.7 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists. In games without him, Keegan Murray (34.5 minutes, 14.0 points), Zach LaVine (31.4 minutes, 19.2 points) and DeMar DeRozan (31.2 minutes, 18.4 points) led Sacramento's minutes, with Domantas Sabonis, Russell Westbrook, Maxime Raynaud, Dennis Schroder and Daeqwon Plowden also seeing extended run. With no regular-season games played yet, there is no record to compare with and without Hunter.

What to watch

The Kings' next injury report will show whether Hunter stays off it for Friday's game at San Antonio. No return timeline applies since he has been cleared. Sacramento's broader injury picture remains unsettled: Maxime Raynaud is out with a right knee and leg issue, Malik Monk is day-to-day with a left ankle and leg issue, and Dylan Cardwell is out with a left calf issue.

Is De'Andre Hunter playing against the Spurs?

Yes. Hunter was cleared from the Kings' injury report on Friday, Oct. 16 at 7:46 p.m. ET, ahead of the 8 p.m. game at San Antonio.

When will De'Andre Hunter be back?

He is already back. Hunter is off Sacramento's injury report after being cleared Friday, Oct. 16, following a day-to-day listing for a rest issue.
