Outlets Chase Konchar While Miami's Offseason Stays Silent

Three outlets have the Heat checking in on veteran guard John Konchar, and two more keep selling Devin Carter as a fit Miami never pursued. None of it has produced a transaction: the front office has logged no trade or signing this offseason, and camp opens with the same twenty-man group it started the summer with.

Konchar Gets Real Ink

Miami Herald's Barry Jackson reported the Heat have made calls on veteran guard John Konchar, and Hoops Rumors' Luke Adams put Miami alongside the Magic and Raptors among the teams interested. All U Can Heat's Michael Saenz called him a logical fit before camp opens. The logic checks out: Trevor Keels and Ryan Conwell are both working back from injury with an estimated Oct. 1 return, and a steady reserve guard on a minimum deal covers real ground while the backcourt sorts itself out.

Carter Talk Overstates It

All U Can Heat argued Devin Carter is the reclamation project Miami should have chased, then reported the Celtics borrowing Miami's own approach after signing Carter themselves. Carter is not on Miami's twenty-man roster, and no trade or signing has been logged for the Heat since the offseason opened. Whatever Boston copied, it copied for its own roster, not this one.

Giannis Still Drives Coverage

All U Can Heat downplayed Giannis Antetokounmpo's injury history as a bigger worry than warranted, then floated him following the same three-point track that helped Heat alumni LeBron James and Jimmy Butler. Both pieces skip present tense: Antetokounmpo is currently working back from a left knee issue with an estimated Oct. 1 return, the same target date attached to Bam Adebayo's back. Any shooting projection waits on him getting cleared first.

Nothing On The Books

Hot Hot Hoops framed the summer as active enough for a former All-Star to credit it, while separate pieces on Norman Powell's exit and Ryan Conwell's camp standing rounded out the coverage. None of it changes the actual roster: no additions, no subtractions, and a front office that has made zero moves since the offseason began. The speculation is real. The transactions are not.
