John Konchar signed a one-year contract with the Knicks on September 16, ending a pursuit Hoops Rumors had tied Miami to alongside Orlando and Toronto as recently as September 15. The Heat head into camp with the roster unchanged and five players still working back from injury.

Konchar Goes To New York

Konchar signed with the Knicks on a one-year deal. Hoops Rumors had reported interest from the Heat, Magic and Raptors on September 15, and the Miami Herald's Barry Jackson had flagged Miami's calls on the veteran guard the same day. None of it turned into a contract.

Skyforce Get New Leadership

Miami named Mario Casamajor head coach and Liam Doyle general manager of the Skyforce, its G League affiliate, on September 15. It is the only confirmed organizational move logged this week.

Five Working Back

Myron Gardner, Ryan Conwell, Trevor Keels, Bam Adebayo and Giannis Antetokounmpo are all working back from injury, each carrying an estimated return of October 1. Bam's back and Giannis's left knee are the two that matter most once two-a-days start.
