Rematch at Home

Doug Christie's Kings, who finished last season 22-60, get a second crack at Los Angeles after falling 127-103 on Monday, when Doncic scored 21 and Cameron Carr added 19. Sacramento arrives on one day's rest and the second leg of back-to-back road games, with Keegan Murray, Ben Simmons and Malik Monk all unavailable.

Names to Watch Tonight

Six Lakers carry an injury tag with an estimated return dated today: Austin Reaves (ankle), Walker Kessler (finger), Matisse Thybulle, Ziaire Williams, Arthur Kaluma and Collin Sexton. Whoever actually suits up will be the clearest look yet at the rotation Redick wants once the regular season opens October 21.

The Fight Upstairs

Jeanie Buss' siblings formally filed opposition to her attempt to block the sale of the team, the Los Angeles Times' Thuc Nhi Nguyen reported Tuesday, with ESPN's Dave McMenamin and Shams Charania and Lakers Nation's Daniel Starkand confirming the filing. It is the sharpest public turn yet in a dispute that began with last year's sale to Mark Walter and this summer's resale to Bob Iger and Joshua Kushner.

Is Austin Reaves playing against the Kings tonight?

Reaves is listed with an ankle issue and an estimated return date of October 8, tonight's game, so his availability is the first thing to check at tip-off.
