Oklahoma City's injury list dropped from five names to four on September 25, when Jalen Williams moved from Day-To-Day to Cleared. The other four listed Day-To-Day are targeting an October 1 return, five days before the October 6 preseason opener against New Orleans.

Williams Off the List

Jalen Williams had been listed Day-To-Day; as of September 25 that designation is gone, and he is cleared heading into training camp. He is the first name off Oklahoma City's injury report since it began appearing, leaving four players still working back before camp turns into games. The preseason runs four games — Pelicans, Bucks, at Hawks, then Pacers — before the regular-season opener October 20 at San Antonio.

Four Still Targeting October

Thomas Sorber, Ajay Mitchell, Isaiah Hartenstein and Otega Oweh are each listed Day-To-Day, and each carries an estimated return of October 1, five days before the preseason opener. Hartenstein's ankle and Sorber's knee are the two injuries most tied to the rotation Oklahoma City will lean on in October.

Presti's Read on the Roster

ESPN reported this week that general manager Sam Presti does not expect a downturn for Oklahoma City despite its offseason departures, a claim that will be tested once preseason games start. Camp opens with an eighteen-man roster and Christoph Tilly's Exhibit 10 contract from September 14 still unresolved.
