A daytime league

In Australia the NBA happens during the working day. Most games tip off between 10am and 2pm on the east coast, which is ideal on a weekend and awkward on a Wednesday. The opening night started at 6am. Queensland, without daylight saving, sees everything an hour earlier until April.

Australia has eleven players on NBA rosters this season, and the block above follows them game by game: season averages, the last line and when they play next in Sydney time. Some teams are much easier to follow than others: a West Coast team's late games land in the afternoon, an East Coast team's early ones are breakfast television.

ESPN or Prime Video?

ESPN carries the larger share of games and the playoffs, and the cheapest way to get it is Disney+, where every plan includes ESPN. Prime Video has its own package of about 66 games that are not on ESPN. League Pass is the only service with every game, which matters if you follow a player rather than a team.
