Saturday night is the one
Most NBA games reach Nigeria between one and half past four in the morning. The best slot of the week is Saturday: weekend games that start in the American afternoon arrive between six and eleven at night in Lagos, and SportyTV shows a Saturday game free every week. The week above highlights everything that starts before half past midnight.
Three broadcasters, one free
The rights are split three ways this season. SuperSport has a selection of live games on DStv Compact and GOtv Supa Plus, ESPN Africa has the Sunday night game and the big series of the playoffs, and SportyTV has a free weekly game plus the Christmas games, the All-Star Game and the playoffs. Showmax, which carried games last season, closed in April 2026.
Nigeria's link with the league runs deep, from Hakeem Olajuwon to a long list of players with Nigerian roots. The block above follows the players the league lists as Nigerian, game by game.
