BRICE Sensabaugh

In 2025-26, Sensabaugh averaged 14.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.2 blocks over 75 games for Utah. He shot 46.0 percent from the field, 36.7 percent from three and 82.6 percent from the foul line, good for a 59.0 true shooting mark. His usage rate sat at 24.4 percent, a sign Utah ran real offense through him, and he turned the ball over just 1.7 times a game given that role. The one number that stands out the other way is his plus-minus, at -5.1 for the season. Those are the numbers Sensabaugh takes into his third year, all logged with Utah as his team last season.

Sensabaugh is not on the injury report right now. He had been day-to-day with a hip issue on the left side, first listed on October 4, and was cleared on October 12. That means he went from a questionable tag to full clearance in about a week, and he has played since. For a player whose value is tied to minutes and usage, staying off the injury list matters, and right now there is nothing holding him back heading into the new season.

Sensabaugh has been on the floor in Utah's most recent games. On October 16 against Phoenix, in a game the team won, he scored 16 points in 17.3 minutes with a plus-minus of +2.0. On October 12 against San Antonio, also a win, he had 11 points in 15.0 minutes with a +7.0 mark. He did not see the floor in two earlier games against Denver, one a win and one a loss, logging 0.0 minutes in both. Those are the only outings on the books for him so far this fall, a small sample but a scoring punch in the minutes he has gotten.

Sensabaugh's name surfaced in Jazz Notes on September 29, in a report from Shreyas Laddha that grouped him with Peterson and Nurkic in discussion of Utah's starting five. That is a report, not a confirmed lineup, and nothing in the record since then locks in a starting role for Sensabaugh. Still, being mentioned in that conversation at all says something about where the front office and beat reporters see him fitting after the kind of season he had in 2025-26.
