The charge confirmed. Dillon Brooks, 30, faces a misdemeanor DUI charge tied to a March arrest in Scottsdale. ESPN, The Athletic, RealGM and Arizona Sports all reported the charge between September 30 and October 1. Brooks scored 20.2 points a game for Phoenix last season and remains on the camp roster.

Reath's clock runs out. Duop Reath's foot and leg issue carries an estimated return of October 1 — today. CJ Huntley's hamstring issue lists the same date. Neither has been confirmed healthy yet; both landed on the injury list in the week after camp opened.

Williams, still waiting. Mark Williams' shoulder and arm issue still carries an estimated return of February 3, 2027. He has been out since mid-September, and nothing changed in the last day. Khaman Maluach and Oso Ighodaro keep splitting center minutes in his absence.

Exhibition slate set. Phoenix's exhibition schedule runs October 5 in Detroit, October 7 in Chicago, then two meetings with San Antonio — October 10 at home on ESPN2, October 14 on the road. The regular season starts October 21 in Portland.

The number: 12. Oso Ighodaro's minutes jumped by 12 a night over his last three games of 2025-26 when he filled in for an absent teammate, with his scoring climbing too. With Williams out and Reath unproven, that swing matters more now than it did in March.

Open question. Phoenix carries a 21-man camp roster, with Kennedy Chandler and Phillip Wheeler the newest additions. Between Brooks' legal matter and Reath's foot, does Ott's center and wing rotation settle before October 21, or stay in flux through preseason?

On deck Exhibition play starts October 5 in Detroit, continues at Chicago and twice against San Antonio, before the regular season starts October 21 in Portland.
