No New Moves, But Oklahoma City's Pick Stack Keeps Growing

Nothing new has surfaced on the roster in the past day and a half; Christoph Tilly's Sept. 14 signing and Lindy Waters' departure for the Beijing Ducks remain the only confirmed moves of the month. The frame that matters now is structural: four preseason games open the slate, a road opener follows, and the club still holds eight picks across the next four drafts, four of them outright.

Nothing New Since Midweek

No transactions, injuries or fresh reports have surfaced in the past 36 hours. The roster sits exactly where it did after Christoph Tilly signed his Exhibit 10 deal on Sept. 14 and Lindy Waters left for the Beijing Ducks the next day. Camp continues with that group intact, the record still 0-0.

Four Tune-Ups, One Road Trip

Oklahoma City hosts New Orleans on Oct. 6 and Milwaukee on Oct. 7, then travels to Atlanta on Oct. 12 before closing the preseason at home against Indiana on Oct. 13. The regular season follows on Oct. 20, a road game against San Antonio.

The Pick Stack Keeps Building

Beyond this season, Oklahoma City owns its own first- and second-round picks outright in 2029 and 2030, plus swap rights on the 2027 and 2028 first- and second-rounders — eight selections of leverage layered on top of an 18-man roster with an average age of 24.2. That combination of a stacked core and forward assets is the through-line of this build: win now, and keep the means to reload.
