Oklahoma City has four players targeting the same return date before its first preseason game, with the Thunder still sitting at 0-0 in a season that has not started. The next three weeks move from injury reports to actual games, with the regular season opener set for Oct. 20 at San Antonio.

Four Dates Align

Thomas Sorber, Ajay Mitchell, Isaiah Hartenstein and Otega Oweh are each listed day-to-day, and each carries the same estimated return: October 1. Sorber is working back from a right knee issue, Mitchell from a right calf issue, Hartenstein from an ankle problem and Oweh from a left lower leg issue. None of the four has been ruled out beyond that date.

Camp Turns To Games

Preseason begins October 6 at home against New Orleans, followed by Milwaukee on October 7, then road trips to Atlanta on October 12 and a home date with Indiana on October 13. The regular season opener follows October 20 at San Antonio, broadcast on NBC and Peacock. That is the runway for the four day-to-day players to get back to full speed.

What Comes Next

Oklahoma City is still 0-0, with no games logged yet in 2026-27. The open question is whether Sorber, Mitchell, Hartenstein and Oweh are full participants for the October 6 opener or eased in once the regular season nears October 20.
