Draft Value in Play

Thunderous Intentions reported that Oklahoma City's swap rights in the 2027 and 2028 drafts have grown more valuable, tied to how the Clippers have fared. The Thunder hold swap rights in both rounds those two years and own their picks outright from 2029 through 2030. No trade has been reported; this is outside value analysis, not a transaction.

Camp Clock Advances

Exhibition games begin October 6 against the Pelicans, followed by the Bucks on October 7, a road date at the Hawks on October 12, and the Pacers on October 13. The regular season opens October 20 at the Spurs, carried by NBC with Peacock streaming as well. Head coach Mark Daigneault has that stretch to sort out a 21-man training camp roster.

Four Names, One Date

Thomas Sorber, Ajay Mitchell, Isaiah Hartenstein and Otega Oweh are each sidelined - Sorber with a knee, Mitchell with a calf, Hartenstein with an ankle, Oweh with a lower leg - and each is targeting an October 1 return. Camp already added three players on September 26 - Zhaire Smith, Andrew Holifield and McCray - and how they fit remains unclear a week later.
