Oklahoma City tagged eight players day-to-day for rest on October 10, with returns eyed for October 13 — the day after the Hawks game. Holmgren's label shifted from a plain rest tag to a quadriceps issue, and Hartenstein's ankle problem from October 7 still has no reported clearance.

A Rest Wave Before Atlanta

On October 10, Oklahoma City listed SGA, Ajay Mitchell, Isaiah Hartenstein, Jalen Williams, Cason Wallace, Alex Caruso, Jared McCain and Kenrich Williams all day-to-day, most for rest. Every one of those tags points to a return around October 13, a day after the trip to Atlanta, putting Mark Daigneault in position to lean on a thinner lineup against the Hawks on October 12.

Holmgren's Issue Gets A Name

Holmgren's day-to-day tag, applied October 5 as a rest issue, turned specific to a quadriceps problem on October 10. Hartenstein's own tag, an ankle issue first reported October 7, still carries no update. Both sit alongside Thomas Sorber's knee and Jaylin Williams's heel on the day-to-day list, each pointed toward an October 13 return.

Preseason Still Reads 0-0

Oklahoma City is 0-2 in reported preseason games, falling 110-116 to the Pelicans on October 6 and 126-128 to the Bucks on October 7, though the record stays 0-0 until the regular season opens. Jalen Williams scored 14 in that Bucks game, and Hoops Rumors reported a 'strong start' for him in his preseason debut. The next test comes October 12 at Atlanta, then the regular-season opener October 20 at San Antonio.

Oklahoma City visits the Atlanta Hawks on October 12 in preseason play, then opens the regular season October 20 at San Antonio.
