He joins Butler and Moody, each not expected back before December, both nursing knee injuries, and Alex Toohey, listed day-to-day with a left knee issue and an expected return of October 1. That is four rotation pieces compromised before the Warriors play a preseason minute.

Kerr Is Already Talking About Curry's Minutes

NBC Sports Bay Area reported that Kerr hinted at a cautious approach to Curry's workload this season. Curry is 38 and entering his 17th year; last season he averaged 30.9 minutes and 26.6 points across 43 games. Managing his minutes before camp has even opened suggests the caution is planned, not reactive.

The Roster Keeps Turning Over at the Edges

The transaction log moved again this week: Nick Boyd left the team on September 29, and Miles Kelly, signed September 27, officially joined the roster September 28. Neither move touches the rotation questions at the top of the roster, but it shows the Warriors are still filling out the edges of a camp already missing Porzingis and Butler up front.
