Chucky Hepburn is listed day-to-day with a left hamstring issue on the Raptors' latest injury report, days after Toronto waived him over the same injury, per Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun. He will not play in Toronto's season opener against the Knicks on Tuesday, with the backcourt rotation absorbing his minutes.

What happened

Hepburn was listed day-to-day Tuesday at 5:55 p.m. ET with a left hamstring issue, the same injury that had him day-to-day on Saturday before he was cleared Monday. The Raptors waived Hepburn on Monday because of the hamstring, according to Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun. The guard also was day-to-day with a knee issue back on Sept. 6, before clearing that issue on Oct. 3.

What it means for the Raptors

Toronto opens its season against the Knicks on Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET. The Raptors are 0-0, with the 2026-27 season not yet underway, so there is no record with or without Hepburn to measure. In 2025-26 he played two games for 6.6 minutes with no points, 0.5 rebounds and 1.0 assist, a marginal role that leaves little to replace. Guards Immanuel Quickley (31.9 minutes, 16.4 points) and Jamal Shead (22.6 minutes, 6.6 points) lead the backcourt minutes, with Scottie Barnes (33.5 minutes, 18.1 points), Brandon Ingram (33.8 minutes, 21.5 points) and RJ Barrett (30.3 minutes, 19.3 points) also drawing heavy minutes, and Jakob Poeltl, Sandro Mamukelashvili and Collin Murray-Boyles rounding out the frontcourt.

What to watch

The injury report lists Hepburn's expected return as Nov. 6, the next marker on his hamstring. The same report lists guard Trayce Jackson-Davis day-to-day with a teeth and head issue, Alijah Martin day-to-day with a knee issue and Nate Bittle day-to-day with a right foot issue. Toronto opens its 2026-27 schedule Tuesday against the Knicks with those statuses still unresolved.

Is Chucky Hepburn playing vs Knicks?

No. The injury report lists him day-to-day with a left hamstring issue, and the Raptors waived him on Monday over that injury, according to Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun.

When will Chucky Hepburn be back?

The injury report lists an expected return date of Nov. 6.
