Cason Wallace was cleared on Monday evening and is no longer listed as day-to-day. The Thunder guard is set to be available for the season opener at San Antonio on Tuesday.

What happened

Cason Wallace was moved from Day-To-Day to Cleared on the official injury report, posted Monday, Oct. 19 at 6:43 PM ET. The report gave no injury detail and no comment. No expected return was announced, since none was needed. Wallace had been up and down on the report through October. He was listed Day-To-Day for rest on Oct. 5 and cleared on Oct. 7. He was listed again for rest on Oct. 10 and cleared on Oct. 13. His most recent listing came on Oct. 15, Day-To-Day with an undisclosed issue. Monday's move clears that one.

What it means for the Thunder

Oklahoma City opens the 2026-27 season at the Spurs on Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 9:30 PM ET (NBC/Peacock). The Thunder are 0-0, so there is no record with or without Wallace. Last season the 22-year-old guard played 77 games and averaged 26.6 minutes, 8.6 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists. Those minutes are the ones the rotation would have had to cover without him. In games he missed, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander averaged 33.2 minutes and 31.1 points. Luguentz Dort played 26.8 minutes, Ajay Mitchell 25.8, Aaron Wiggins 21.8 and Isaiah Joe 21.2. Otega Oweh, Nikola Topic and Thomas Sorber are listed as out.

What to watch

The next injury report comes ahead of the Spurs game, and it is the place to confirm Wallace is not listed again. His October history shows the status has changed several times in two weeks, so a new listing before the opener is possible. No return date is needed, because he is cleared. Oweh, Topic and Sorber remain out, and the Thunder have not announced timelines for any of them. After San Antonio, the next games are not in the schedule provided here.

Is Cason Wallace playing at the Spurs on Tuesday?

He was cleared on the Monday, Oct. 19 injury report, moving off Day-To-Day, so he is not listed with an injury for the 9:30 PM ET game at San Antonio. The next report will confirm it.

When will Cason Wallace be back?

He is already cleared. The report lists no injury detail and no expected return, since none applies. He was Day-To-Day with an undisclosed issue on Oct. 15.
